Detention & accessorial policy
These figures appear on every rate confirmation. They are part of the broker–carrier agreement.
Detention — $50/hr after 2 hours free
The first two hours at any stop are free at both ends. After that, detention pays $50 per hour, prorated by the half hour, at pickup and delivery alike. Detention is paid on the same invoice as the linehaul.
TONU — $150
If a tendered load cancels after you have dispatched a truck toward pickup, the truck order not used pays $150.
Layover — $200 per night
If a load cannot deliver on the scheduled day through no fault of yours and the driver sits overnight, the layover pays $200 per night.
Lumper — reimbursed at cost
Where a lumper is required: pay it, upload the receipt, and we reimburse at cost on the same invoice. No markup, no cap games, no separate remit.
How to claim — the whole claim
- Load number.
- Arrival and departure times.
- A photo of the signed BOL showing those times.
- One line on what happened.
File it through the detention form or by email. Claims are answered within 2 business days. If we dispute a claim, you get the reason in writing, not silence.
What we ask at the dock
Write arrival and departure on the BOL before the receiver signs. That habit is the difference between a two-day claim and a two-week argument.
